Educating for a Healthier Coast
Coastal Georgia is blessed with abundant and diverse estuarine and marine resources. Georgia's 100 mile coastline includes more than 2,400 miles of tidal creeks, 8,000 square miles of continental shelf, 400,000 acres of tidal marsh, and 184,000 acres of tidal water. This unique environment serves as habitat to a myriad of upland, marine, and estuarine wildlife that call coastal Georgia home.

GCEG members collaborate on a variety of education initiatives and aim to provide school, decision maker, and public audiences with quality coastal resource-based programming and interpretive materials. Each program also provides unique educational opportunities and training programs. Tour our site for more details on how you can be involved.
